Our passion for the Boxer breed began in the summer of 2001 when
we got our first Boxer puppy, Crusher, from my sister and brother-in-law
who had already been raising Boxers for a year or so. Crusher
definitely spoiled us as new pet owners. He was a very calm and
obedient puppy and as time went on our whole family grew very
attached to him. Our oldest daughter, Shannon, loved him so much
she started the ball rolling for our breeding program with her
request to have one of Crusher's puppies. At first it was taken
rather light heartedly, but over time she persisted and eventually
convinced us to breed him so she could have one of his puppies.
After trying to find a female to breed him with in exchange for
a pick of the litter to give to Shannon, we finally decided to
just get a female Boxer for ourselves. With Shannon's help we
finally got our little Daisie from one of her neighbors who had
just had a litter of Boxer puppies. Daisie was the only female
in the litter and at first site we knew she would be the perfect
"mate" for Crusher. Like Crusher, she was a fawn Boxer
with a black mask and very similar white markings and we knew
the two of them would make beautiful puppies together.
From that point on things just rolled along and we soon found
we were being referred to as "breeders". It was during
our third litter between Crusher and Daisie that we began thinking
about establishing an actual "breeding" plan and the
first thing we decided to do was get another female to breed Crusher
with in order to give Daisie a break. We also decided to get a
brindle Boxer this time in the hopes of producing a litter of
both fawn and brindle puppies. Our newest addition to the Webster's
Boxers family is "BB" and we plan to breed her with
Crusher sometime in 2008.
