We are the Webster family, we live in Stanly County, North Carolina
and caring for and raising our AKC Boxers has become our passion!
Randy and I first got together in the spring of 1991 and by the
summer of 1992 we had combined our two families into just one
family and I went from being a mother of one to a mother of five
beautiful children! We're very proud of how well we've done over
the years with our "step" family, we're not a perfect
family but we're a loving family and we've survived many a storm
over the years and come out stronger in the end.
We got our first AKC Boxer, Crusher, in the summer of 2001 from
my sister and brother-in-law who had been breeding their AKC Boxers
for a couple of years prior. Later, in the spring of 2003, we
got our second AKC Boxer, Daisie, from our oldest daughter's neighbor
with the primary goal of one day breeding the two so that our
daughter could have one of Crusher's puppies. You can read more
about each of our family pets by clicking the "Our Dogs"
link above. Basically, after that first litter in the spring of
2005, I think we both felt that breeding AKC Boxers was something
we would like to continue doing. We didn't, however, expect to
be doing it again quite so soon! As newbie breeders we quickly
found out the importance of using birth control not only for ourselves
but for our family pets as well. The "oops" litter in
the fall of 2005 taught us a very valuable lesson as breeders
in having a "breeding plan". Finally, after a year's
rest for Daisie, we had our third litter of AKC Boxer puppies
in the fall of 2006. At this time our "breeding plan"
is to give Daisie at least another year's rest and possibly breeding
her again sometime the end of 2007 or the beginning of 2008, and
we definitely plan on breeding our newest addition, BB, with Crusher
sometime in 2008 after she has had one or two heat cycles. For
