Well I had the girls ears done on January
12. It has been quite an experience. They went back to vets
office about everyday for the first 10 days, they would
not leave them alone. When the stitches came out and they
started posting their ears they have done a whole lot better.
It has been quite an experience. This might be the last
cropping I do. I felt so sorry for them, they sleep with
me the first three nights after they had them done. They
got spoiled because I would let them go to sleep in my lap
after the third night and then but them in their crate.
They still want to get in my lap, they weight 20 and 21
pounds. I will send pictures soon.

Just a couple of more recent pictures. Buffy
is the one with ears down, I was getting ready to tape them
and she ran and got in the chair with Bunny. They are really
doing good. Maybe a couple more weeks of tapping. I am doing
all the taping now. A week ago I took Bunny back to get hers
re-taped and something happened and to this day they can't
tell exactly what it was, I think when they muzzled her they
cut off her air supply. She went in fine and came out coughing
and struggling to get air. They said she would be okay. I
got home about 7 miles and she coughed the whole way. She
couldn't even walk to the door. I called them back and ask
what they had given her and they said nothing, so I told them
she couldn't get enough air and her gums were turning white.
I rushed her back scared to death she wasn't going to make.
I asked had she gotten a piece of tape hung in her throat
and they said no. they x-rayed and didn't find anything in
air passage but said she had congestion in her lungs, I told
them she had not been sick and had not coughed until she came
out of there. They have given me the run around, she was sent
home at 6 that night with 3 kinds of medicine and to come
back in 2 days for a re-tape, they took them down, and check
her lungs. If she got worse during the night take her to Greensboro
to the emergency clinic for oxygen. I was fit to be tied,
the next morning she was much better, I would say 90%, so
I called and gave them progress report like I was told. I
didn't take her back for 4 days because she was so much better.
When I did take her back I asked to see the owner. They were
prepared, they told me in conversation with a cardio specialist
that they THOUGHT that it was related to Boxer heart problem.
I let in go in one ear and out the other. I asked him to listen
to her heart and chest, everything sounded good and to discontinue
medicine. I still think she was deprived of air from the muzzle,
they said she snapped at them when they started the 2nd ear.
My bill for that day for a free ear tape was $254.43. I've
tapped them ever time since. She is doing fine and has had
no problems. Ronnie was furious that I paid the bill but I
couldn't prove anything. I'm just glad it all turned out OKAY.
I will stay in touch.

One of the latest pictures of the girls, they
are doing great. Buffy is several pounds more than Bunny and
a little taller. I would love to get a picture of them outside
but every time I have camera they are never still. I will
get one soon. Hope your family is doing well, will be in touch
later.
October 2006
Congratulations on the litter, Bunny is in
heat for the first time. They can't figure out what's going
on I have brought Buffy in to stay, first time they have been
separated. I just took my 3 year old female to Middlesex to
breed to a brindle male. I just bought a champion male back
in April, but I wanted to breed to the brindle dog, she sells
her puppies for 700 to 1000 sounded really good to me, and
she advertises on her web site. I am sending you a picture
of the male I bought, he will have to wait about a year before
the girls will be ready to breed. Good luck with your litter.
If I know anybody looking I will send them your way.
I would be pleased if you use any of the
pictures that I have sent you. I am sending you the latest
of Bunny. They are so different, Buffy is so lay back and
loving and I guess I should tell you she may be a mother.
I was having trouble with my male and didn't get my last
female bred so Buffy came in about three weeks ago and she
and the male spent several days at the vets office. My male
doesn't bred like most males, he never hooks up but is still
producing sperm and according to the vet sperm was found
in Buffy, so I guess I will have to wait and see. I usually
don't bred on first heat but we were curious about the male
and the vet said she would be fine. On the other hand Bunny
was in heat before she was a year old, she is a holy terror,
into everything and constantly moving. She is actually a
little smaller than Buffy. Anyway I will keep you updated
on everything. I have been keeping up with your website
and have seen the pictures of BB and I think she is very
pretty. I am like you I like the fawn better but I have
a friend who has a brindle male and she sells her brindle
puppies first. I will stay in touch and look forward to
seeing the girls on your website.
Just wanted to give you the latest news. I had really good
luck selling the last litter of puppies. Buffy was in heat
the last of September and I put her with the male I can't
get to breed anything (Coz) for the duration. I never saw
anything happen, but she was exposed (but I don't expect
puppies). Bunny was in and I bred her on Oct.22 and 27
hoping for a small litter. I bred her to Bozo and I saw this
happen. They should be due around Christmas Eve or close. I
wanted to breed her to Brucski but I had such luck selling
the flashy ones, I decided to breed her to Bozo. I kept a
puppy from the last litter that is flashy to breed to him
later since I had to have her mother spayed. Hope you and
your family are all well, and I will keep the latest news
coming.
Well Dorrie, Bunny is going to have puppies, should be due
the around the 23rd. She is really getting bigger by the
day. I took this picture a couple days ago. I will keep you
up dated on her progress. Hope your family is doing fine and
have a wonderful holiday.

Hi Dorrie, Bunny
had her puppies this morning by c-section, they are huge
puppies which the vet said that was the reason she
couldn't have them. She had four, 2 females, 2 males. I
am sending a picture that were about three hours old.
Hi Dorrie, Bunny
has been such a good mother. I have sold all but one
flashy male. She did get pancreases when puppies were
about 4 1/2 weeks old and spent three days at the vets.
She is doing fine now but she was deathly sick. I am
sending you a few pictures I had one puppy in this
litter that was definitely show quality, he went to SC.
The picture of the one by himself is the only one left.
Hope you enjoy!!!!!!
