Libby's Updates...

January 2007

Salem and Libby are doing wonderfully. They had coccidia and had to be treated the first ten days but soon picked up their activity levels. They really love the backyard with lots of space to explore and wrestle. Libby continues to dominate even though Salem has grown much bigger. Salem also is much more vocal as we have only heard Libby bark twice. They wear each other out playing and then drop into a snuggle pile to nap. They will be starting obedience training next weekend but have already learned to sit on command. Attached are some pics. Talk to you later.

Sorry we have not had a chance to get back with you. We have been quite busy with these two!!! Our trip home on Dec.28th was a fiasco. I think it was more nervousness then anything else. Libby and Salem are doing GREAT!!!! The first night was pretty shocking to us, they went right in their crates and slept pretty much all night as they do now, pottying during the night only lasted about a week. now they pretty much sleep straight through the night. Of course Libby is the first one awake and BIG BOY Salem is the very last to get up. (We physically have to carry him outside in the a.m.) They are troopers at the vet. Our Vet said how beautiful our babies are. (and boy, don't they know it!!!) They got there third round of shots and did not feel well at all. Salem actually broke out in hives 24 hours later. A little children's benadryl worked just fine.!!!!! We just started puppy classes with these two. She is quite the go-getter, she loves everyone. (just like her mommy) Salem, on the other hand is just like his daddy, he is more reserved and definitely scopes out the scene!!!! It is really an event to partake in on Saturday mornings. They are also the talk of Pet Smart ....Everyone dotes over our Salem and Libby. They have been labeled The Dynamic Duo. Although at home Salem is not shy, when he isn't getting attention and she is getting too much, he BARKS, BARKS & BARKS!!! Libby goes straight for the kill she likes to bite on him and BOX. She is a true boxer. They are doing well with pottying, he needs a little more work. But in all they are wonderful and we LOVE them so much. We are so glad we got two, They absolutely love each other and are best friends. Lastly, Derek and I are just so amazed at how much they look like their mommy and daddy. Spitting images. I've downloaded pics and will send them soon. Hope all is well, kisses back from Salem and Libby.
