"Puppy #1"

     Puppy #1 was born at 5:58am and was struggling to breath from the very beginning. We worked with him along with Daisie for nearly an hour trying to help him get his lungs cleared and breath on his own, but were unable to get him stabilized and finally pronounced him dead at 6:30am. It was nearly another hour before the next pup arrived and we struggled with Daisie trying to keep her as calm as possible so as to not slow down her delivery. She came through like a trooper and perked right up after the next little pup came out.
